Amazing benefits of dark chocolate

When I was feeling low and depressed with some work pressure, my friend suggested me to bite a dark chocolate and it worked like magic! This made me wonder how a sour dark chocolate has the ability to enhance your mood, turn everything sweet and makes you feel better.

Researchers suggest that dark chocolate has immense health benefits. It’s supposed to keep heart disease away, lowers blood pressure and lowers cholesterol too. It contains less sugar and milk compared to regular sugary crap, which reduces the calorie count. Made from the seed of the cocoa tree, it is one of the best sources of antioxidants on earth which suppresses the chances of an attack, Cancer too.

It contains a decent amount of soluble fiber and is loaded with minerals such as iron, magnesium, copper potassium, phosphorus, zinc and selenium amount of caffeine is very small compared to coffee. So treat your taste buds with some dark chocolate, not that you have to gulp in a bar but a moderate amount can work for you.

According to some studies Chocolate contains three kinds of fat in equal proportion: Theobromine which is a stimulant similar to caffeine but without affecting the Central Nervous System to a great extent which gives a similar feel-good effect.

Like exercising, chocolate stimulates endorphin production which gives an immense sense of pleasure. Alcohol too gives an endorphin high but then chocolate is a much healthier option and doesn’t affect liver.

Cocoa prevents damage caused to skin from Sun and helps your skin look hydrated.

Chocolate raises your serotonin level (neurotransmitter) which acts as an anti-depressant. Chocolate has long been linked to sexual desire. A stimulant related to amphetamine, which is released in the brain when people fall in love.
